These three are just phone shots, I'm afraid. Six Flags ride restrictions aren't conducive for carrying a camera. I absolutely love the photo collage up top. Antoine and Kel, always smiling when they're together.
This is Kel getting ready to ride the front seat of Ninja, a loopy wild coaster that gives me a headache!
The boys await their first ride on Pandemonium. One of my favourites of the day.

Third grade field trip park play
Somehow, we have arrived at the final week of the 3rd Grade. Where did the year go??? It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to another wonderful teacher and a class full of friends. I was able to "work" in the classroom every Tuesday morning this year and loved getting to know the kids. They told me that I was the "fun parent". I am so proud of Kellan for all that he has achieved this year and for all of the effort that he has put into his education. He works ten times harder than any other kid in the class and I have so much respect for the energy that he expends every day. He is my superstar. And in recognition of all of the superstars, the kids got to take a fun field trip this week to the donut factory (yum!!!) and then for an afternoon at the park. I had to work, so wasn't able to be there, but a friend took some great shots of Kel and his buddies, Patrick and Blake, at the playground.
And this little photo collage is from the class project on assembly line production earlier in the week. They assembled 30 lunches complete with peanut butter and jelly sandwich, chips, cookies, banana, drink, and napkin. It was a super fun experience and I'm so happy that I was able to be a part of it.

Starter Strings Concert (May 4, 2013)
Kellan had a wonderful experience this year with the Starter Strings programme. He learned to play the cello, as well as learning about playing in a group setting. I had the honour of being an assistant teacher for the class and probably had just as much (if not more) fun myself! Unfortunately, on the day of the big concert, I was busy behind the scenes with the kids (as evidenced by my backside in some of the photos below!). Luckily, a friend was in the audience and sent along a few snaps that included Kel.
Two phone shots of Kel and his cello buddies before the concert. Patrick, Cullen, Blake, Kel, and Alec.

Kellan's Gold Cup Ceremony (April 19, 2013)
Kellan earned his gold cup this year for receiving his third Superior rating in a row at the annual piano festival competition. We are so proud of him! Here are a few snaps from the ceremony.
This was when they called his name and he went up to receive the trophy.

Great Big Sea in Ann Arbor, Michigan (April 16, 2013)
One of the best nights of my life. Great Big Sea in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We had a time!
Am I just a little bit excited? Could my smile be any bigger???
This photo took some effort. Camera running low on battery (apparently), Kel's hat getting in the way of the flash, me praying that the photo would work out because I have been in love with this man for 20 years. That kind of stuff.
Heaven on earth was standing right here with these amazing guys! The excitement apparently decided to seep out through my wild hair.
