Cousins

This is the final blog post from our summer trip to San Diego. I snapped a few shots of the kids out in the backyard before we went for Grandpa's birthday dinner. The light was almost perfect, but Molly wasn't able to manage to stifle the squint and smile at the same time. The only alternative was to face her in a different direction, at which point, the light wasn't great. So, here are a few of each. Some cute shots with poor lighting and some squinty shots with perfect lighting. Combine them in your head and you will have portrait perfection!

San Diego

Taking the ferry across the bay from Coronado into downtown San Diego is always a treat.

A Navy ship on its way out to sea. With the Midway in the background.

I honestly did try to get a decent shot of these three with the city behind them. This is the best of the bunch. Yes, really.

Zoo and Science Center

We spent a fun afternoon at the zoo with Miss Molly, who was beautifully decorated for the occasion.

Out of order, but before going to the zoo, we spent a fun morning with Ruby and her lovely mother, Jenna, at the science center. The kids had a great time together! These three shots were taken with my phone, so please ignore the poor quality.

Birthday at the Beach

Getting a year older seems less traumatic when you spend your birthday at the beach with your favourite people. It was a most wonderful day and as I hit those waves with my boogie board, I felt like I was 8 again! Not... well... some number PLUS 8.

Legoland phone photos

I gave myself a break from the big camera and just took a few phone shots at Legoland today.

Miss Molly (aged almost 2 1/2)

It wasn't always easy to get that sun in the right place (we could mention getting the child in the right place, but she's too cute to take any blame!), but I managed to get a few cute shots of Miss Molly out in the backyard this morning. In her own words, she is "Auntie's girl".
