No gender stereotyping here

At a friend's house this weekend, Kellan ignored all of the "boy" toys and spent the entire evening playing with this kitchen set. He absolutely loved it. At least three hours were spent doing nothing but play "in the kitchen". I'm going to have to look for one of these.

Ben LOVES to play with kitchen toys! When he's old enough, I intend to teach him how to cook since I think it's a valuable skill that everyone should have.

Betty, have you moved yet? How's it going? We actually bought Kellan his very own kitchen set this week. Nic saw one at the charity shop for a few dollars right after Kellan spent two days doing nothing but play with other people's kitchen sets, so we figured that it was a good investment. He spends half his day "in the kitchen" now!

Yes, we're all moved in now, and are trying to get settled into our new life here!! So far, everything is going well, and the kids have adjusted well to the big changes that have taken place.

I do like it here quite a bit, but feel a bit disoriented because I have no frame of reference yet for this place. I take a map with me wherever I go because I'm afraid of getting lost.

Come to think of it, I think we've been here exactly one month now. The time has just flown by so quickly. I still have about 7 more large boxes to unpack, and then we'll be in good shape.

That's funny. When we moved, I did the same thing. Even out pushing the stroller I had a map of Springfield! We have multiple maps so that we could have one in the car, one in the stroller, one in the house. Its nice when you don't need them anymore!
