We're still not exactly sure why it happened, but when we arrived home from school and work on Halloween, Kellan announced that he no longer wanted to dress as a knight for trick-or-treat, but instead wanted to be "Super Kellan". So much for that great knight costume, eh? At least it got a couple of showings at pre-Halloween events. He has a cape with a "K" on it and I had to rummage around to find an outfit that looked suitably costume-like to wear with the cape. So, in the end he kind of became Super Pirate Kellan, borrowing a couple of items from last year's fabulous pirate costume. Oh well, he had fun and that's what matters, right?
Here are a couple out front as we prepared to set off on our trick-or-treat adventures. It was insanely warm and everybody was sitting out front of their houses passing out candy, drinking a few beers, chatting, enjoying the festivities and all of the little ones in their costumes. It was a really neat evening.
Just a portion of the take as we were sorting through the "keep" and "feed to the raccoon" piles. He made out well. As did his parents! And the raccoon...

A warm Halloween? We don't get those here! It wasn't too cold though. We did a little trick or treating and then went to a harvest hayride at our church. There were games and tons of candy, lots of fun. I will probably post tomorrow, stay tuned...
